Don't you just hate talking about yourself? Here goes, start at the beginning, work your way forward to the end, then stop.
I've written poetry ever since I can remember. 3 major collections (the last in 2012). That apparently would qualify me for inclusion on a GCSE syllabus. That won't happen, too obscure. So it goes.
I've also been a professional bookseller for the last 30+ years. And as all my stock is secondhand, my business leaves virtually no carbon footprint. I specialise in Artists catalogues & monographs, and, of course, poetry and literature.
Left school early to pursue the forthcoming revolution, which, as it didn't happen picked up my degree in english European Literature as a mature student. Yes - on a full grant, as I wish it would have been for my two sons, and hope it could be in the future again.
I've been on my own now for too long, 2 and a half years, I hate being alone. Family doesn't compensate for that, I want to share my life, not have a half-life. If that makes me seem desperate, so be it, time is too short, and I want to live a little. Sold my shop and flat in Brighton, and I'm looking to move forward in a new relationship, after 23 years of the last, and frankly, that's easy to say, hard to accomplish. Look forward to any replies, particularly from the much maligned Planet Thanet, or East Kent.
