No such thing as ideal. What I would find appealing would be intelligence, ethics, humour, independence, someone with character but also capable of listening and being reasonable. Someone who shares a love of nature and hiking would be great. An open-minded man who is interested in the world beyond his doorstep. A caring, easy-going man who likes dogs. I don't like domineering men but I do like a strong personality since I have one myself. Stability attracts me, both emotional and material but I don't care about wealth.
Hi, I'm an Irish woman living in Amsterdam for the past 20 years, with itchy feet recently and a longing to move somewhere with more wilderness ( which would basically mean anywhere outside the Netherlands, ha ha). I am a yoga teacher and translator and graduated a year ago as a psychotherapist. My hobbies include long meandering conversations over good food concerning the meaning(lessness) of life, creative writing, singing and playing guitar (I am learning to play the guitat and am still pretty crap, but I sing well). I also love to watch good movies and go to the theatre. I love hiking in mountains and being out in nature. I like all kinds of music but especially certain classical music and folk.country/blues. I am quite an intellectual person, reading a lot, interested in news and politics, I love to study and continue to develop my mind but I also find warm caring friendships and a large dose of humour essential to life. I am not suited to Dutch men which is why i thought I would try an international dating site and I sometimes swap my apartment to go on trips. I love the parts of the US I've seen, essentially around New York and California and I would like an excuse to visit again.
