I am an Undergraduate Research of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. At the moment I'm a research student attached to Department of Agricultural Engineering at Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna.

I am really interested for Climate change mitigation and Disaster management activities since my first year of the University career. I was selected as International Climate Champion 2009 from Sri Lanka at a competition conducted by the british Council. I received the Runner-up prize for the best project proposal at the International online competition (World wide Competition) organized by the British Council UK Ning site in August 2009. Further, I got opportunities to participate project management workshops in New Delhi, Mukteshwar and Chennai on May and June, 2009. I attended to International Climate Champions annual field visit in Nilgiris, India and created Global and Nilgiris declaration to conserve the environment and mitigate climate changes in January, 2010. I participated to YUVA Meet 2010 in New Delhi. Not only for foreign trainings, but also to network with climate champions in all around the world. (1000 champs in 60 countries).
