Writing profiles is so hard! Trying to encapsulate everything about yourself, to give a honest "feel" of who you are to those who look you up, and hope its piques their interest enough to message you.
I am born and brought up in Mumbai by my mom My father passed away when I was young. My mom has been a single parent shouldering the responsibility of her 3 children. From an early age, I formed my impression of what a woman should be...strong, beautiful and self reliant and independent.
I have a love for nature and like to have moments of absolute silence admiring all that HE has created...
I love to read and have been lost for many an hour in a gripping murder mystery.. I also sketch and am oriented towards design, color and beauty. in architecture, paintings, culture and generally in life. I also document my travels through the pictures I take.
From travelling so much, I become a foodie and like all types of cuisines from italian Chinese,Thai, Japanese, Indian, Mexican ( in no particular order)... love to cook and find myself checking out new restaurants along with a bunch of friends or cooking for family & friends.
I don't particularly care for noisy and crowded pubs and late night partying or even for that matter overcrowded malls... For me its more the quite, intimate, cozy and sometimes familiar that attract.. So a desolate beach, a quite hilltop away from the city are what I find rejuvenating...I also like to snorkel.
I practice meditation & am vegetarian by choice - gave up non veg food around 8 years ago and feel this is more suited to who I am as a person ( I eat eggs but find my self drawn into a debate about whether these are vegetarian or non vegetarian).Being Goan, though I cook meat/seafood for family & friends all the time. Travelling has made me realize the truth of the verse in Gen 1:31 - "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good". I like to appreciate the different cultures and celebrate the differences we as a human race have.. I like to journey to places that are off the beaten path like watching baby turtles hatch on a moonlit beach in remote Odisha.... On the extravagant side, I would also love to be in attendance at the New Year Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra! I know, it could be hard to imagine someone who is on a moonlit beach watching baby turtles crawl into the sea who also wants a night with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra but that's who I am.... :)
