I've got a very active sense of humour - a tad dry and offbeat but I find lot's of things funny, including myself often, and I'd like to make us both laugh.
I'm fit and healthy without being some kind of fitness freak - I do exercise daily though and have lost a bit of weight since my outdoor pic was taken and I plan on losing a bit more - feels great! I like good food, good people, good places and good times.
I reckon I'm intelligent and thoughtful but I'm human (and male) so every now and then that may be only my opinion!
I feel MUCH (and I mean MUCH) younger than my birthdays say I am (age is just a number which annoyingly won't stay still!) and I might just be able to surprise you (in a nice way) when we get to know each other. I actually feel like I'm about half my age but with double the experience, if that makes sense.
I'm not even remotely into pretentiousness and am a pretty casual sort of person. I scrub up OK when required but casual and easy going is my preference. No overgrown ego here and I'm not looking for one to date either!
I like most kinds of good music but really get off on 60s and 70s rock - if you can't stand Pink Floyd (or worse - have never heard of them) we may have some issues! I also like blues and some jazz, but my musical tastes aren't frozen in any time or genre though - my musical (and other) tastes are very eclectic.
I like good food and drink - I am pretty much an omnivore but love lots of flavour and enjoy experimenting with new dishes. There isn't a cuisine I've tried that I haven't liked. I might be losing weight but I haven't given up on the pleasures of life!
I have interests in all kinds of subjects and love getting out and about when I can to experience new things, new places and new people.
I've had kids and they've all either grown up or are almost there and we all get on great - there are no big family issues to complicate life.
I don't have any hang ups about the past - what is done is done is my outlook and everyone then moves on a little wiser, with luck. I am ready to catch up on some parts of life that were denied me for a while, if you know what I mean, and I quite like the idea of behaving disgracefully now and again - but in a gentlemanly sort of way, of course ;-)
I like to think I'm a positive person and try to always do the right thing and believe that we should all try to leave other people and places better for our passing - life doesn't always work out that way but we should try anyway. There's already enough d-heads around trying to screw things up without becoming one of them.
I work odd shifts which can be an issue with social life so if you can't handle that it may get tricky. I am kind of busy making adjustments in my life that needed and but I'll find the time for the right lady. I might sometimes be slow replying to contacts sometimes for the same reason.
I was once a Pom in a far off time and place but have spent most of my life here. I could still murder a warm pint of bitter and a cold pork pie though!
When I'm not working I might be home, I might be out having fun or more likely I might be on this damned computer looking at profiles...Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to get me off the computer and have fun with me (at home or out)!
