Someone who is honest caring and active. I am looking for a best friend, travel companion and long term partner to spend life together. I like to stay busy and would like someone with similar interests. Someone who has hobbies and interests outside of watching TV or surfing the net. Someone who loves to travel and enjoys culture and music.
New to the dating scene. I have been married since college. I am also new to San Diego. I traveled a lot the past 12 years due to being a consultant. Now I have a full time job and find myself with lots of spare time. Volleyball is my passion, I play indoor volleyball on Fridays and beach volleyball on Saturdays. I am on a bowling league at work and go to the gym once a week. Sundays I surf the net and do chores. I prefer college sports over professional sports. I enjoy watching ice hockey but am not a big basketball fan and find baseball boring. I jog to stay fit as I have bad eating habits. I fell I am a thoughtful and considerate person. I like to hang out with friends playing cards or trying out new clubs, although traveling did not allow me to make many friends. I love traveling. As I mentioned before I used to travel for work and so I would take advantage of opportunities and travel to other cities on weekends. Recently I have started exploring Asia and have become fascinated with it. I love the food, the culture and the people. In fact, I have been trying to learn Mandarin for over a year now (just speaking it not reading or writing). I like most kinds of music, hard rock, contemporary, and in fact also country also. Rap would be the exception. I prefer live music and dancing although I am a terrible dancer. My previous relationships have taught me that I need to find someone compatible in interests and long terms goals to make a long term relationship work. I think its important to be friends first although mutual attraction is a nice bonus also. I was born in New Orleans, went to Alabama to attend Auburn University, moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern Graduate school, continued to live in Chicago (which I love) for 10 years; moved to St Petersburg Florida, back to Chicago, then to LA, then to Portland, then to San Jose, and now San Diego. I love the SD weather and the beaches. The people here also seem very friendly.
