I was once described by someone who interviewed me as being large and cheerful. I suppose that covers me at times, but I am also frequently quiet and reflective as well as being a little bit badger-like when it comes to dealing with scientific issues such as climate change, ocean acidification, and wildlife conservation. That latter quality also applies to environmental and social justice. Am I spiritual? I tend to classify myself as Agnostic-but-open because while I do not believe a traditional god watches and directs, I do know that mysteries exist that might not ever be solved. I am fine with that. And while I do hold strong beliefs relating to sustainability, I tend towards balance appreciating the idea of a “tiny house” but trying to achieve that ideal via a larger, more comfortable house that has a carbon footprint that aspires to be tiny-house-like. I also have a vibrant curiosity that encompasses other disciplines of science politics, history, and a full spectrum of arts.
