I've noticed a somewhat irritating trend and wanted to get some advice as to why this happens.
Like most other people here, if someone cares to take the time to write, I'll read whatever it is they have to say I'll assume someone has looked at my profile and felt the inclination to introduce themselves beforehand.
Okay, well here's the skinny: I've had three women who wrote simple intros such as, "Hi, how's it going?" or nice profile, wanna chat Mind you, no immediate sparks when I look at their photos, but enough evidence to warrant a reply and who knows.. maybe a possible connection lies within. I send a thankful reply, just as brief. Then the kicker: "So.. tell me a little about yourself"..
On one hand, a part of me is thinking.. "Hell, you wrote to me.. tell ME a little bit about yourself." But I don't reply that way. In fact, I don't use a copy-and-paste reply as I think each person deserves some real dialogue despite the common denominator of subject matter. So after writing some basic info about who I am and what I like to do that hasn't already been stated on my profile, I get no response. I don't want to let a few bad apples spoil the bunch but it is tempting. Can someone offer some answers as to why this may be?
