First and foremost, let me assure you that I am very comfortable with myself. I am a confident and independent woman, but I am a work in progress and always will be because I hope to always be in a learning mode. I was my mom s caregiver for over two years, but she passed on over a year ago. I feel like I'm on the brink of new adventures because I have only me time now. I started a new career and have been meeting many new and interesting business owners. I also have been exercising and am getting back to my old self ... which is a GOOD thing! I have more energy as of late and am anxious to start playing tennis again and go hiking. I think it's only fair to warn you that I've been told that my sense of humor is warped; however, I simply don't understand what they could be talking about. I am a woman of faith (Methodist) and would want to be with someone who could share that with me. I am not a fanatic, but I do attend church every week. I am actively involved in the disabled American Veterans Auxiliary due to the fact that my father and brother were disabled vets and so is my son. I would love to meet someone who likes to go to dinners and movies, would help me get back into dancing (got a new knee now!), enjoys football (go Dawgs! and Falcons!) and baseball games (go Dawgs! and Braves!), and who likes to play cards and board games with family/friends. I'm no where close to being a gourmet cook (I leave that to my son), but I do enjoy getting in the kitchen and cooking. I also enjoy bowling and am head over heels in love with horseback riding (western style). I love to travel (especially road trips) and have been to every state in the Union including AK and HI; I've also lived in two foreign countries and visited Mexico and Spain. I enjoy picnics, antique car shows, boating, and meeting with friends. I also enjoy just staying home watching TV or reading. I love to write and am doing a memoirs book for my family. I really enjoy photography which I will incorporate in my memoirs. I have a Rat Terrier, so the person I meet would have to love dogs. Last, but certainly not the least, is my love for my nine-year old grandson. I adore and miss him ... his daddy and mommy moved him to Chicago with them. I tried my best to kidnap him, but it just didn't work out. Any adventurers out there? I would like to meet someone who is honest and open and loyal, has a sense of humor, and likes to travel. Also I would like for this person to be a bit of a romantic (dinner or wine in front of a fireplace?), walks in the park, flowers, likes to cuddle, and isn't embarrassed by holding hands and giving sweet kisses in public. He would also appreciate having a woman as a partner in life. P.S. Will update pictures when I can get someone to take some new ones for me ... in a couple of weeks (end of August). P.P.S. Not to scare anyone, but I know how to handle firearms and really like target practice.
