I’m a man looking to love. I know loves limitations but I’m willing to give love despite this knowledge. I take full personal responsibility for my life as I know it’s all in me. I created all of it. I know the secret of loving a woman is making her feel given to and loved from the knowledge of loving unconditionally. Maybe sounds idealistic but hey, why not aim high?!!
I know as a man I can be prone to selfishness. So I’ve worked on my “self” to overcome this male tendency. I’ve learnt to love by giving, listening and taking action. I've had an adventurous life, which involved travelling overland to India when I was 25 and by some quirk of fate then living abroad for 12 years in three different countries before moving back to England. So my life has had an unconventional leaning.
A deeper kind of love in my view involves a real ongoing honesty and openness and humility and responsibility but I'm fully aware this is never perfect. God knows it's difficult to stay young at heart as we get older where the tendency is to become sentimental and stuck in our ways and overly intellectual and opinionated.
On the active side I'm quite sporty and enjoy table tennis and Pilates and dancing. I like to go on walks with a pub lunch along the way, cook, listen to music and watch films. I work part time on my two small time self employed businesses from home.
I love animals. My grandfather was a Mendip farmer and spent many a happy morning in the milking shed during the summer holidays as a child. Also had riding lessons for 4 years at that time. I rode that magnificent Palomino stallion when couch surfing in the South of France a few years ago.
I have a very irreverent sense of humour that comes from seeing the folly of what is happening in the world and not taking it too seriously. So irreverence, humour, teasing and having a laugh are also very important.
