About myself

I have some acreage near Tollesboro where I am building a place to retire. The plan is to grow a garden, plant an orchard, heat with firewood and enjoy being outside every day in the sunshine and fresh air. Construction on the new house begins this fall.

Being a Navy veteran I have traveled the world. On my Father's side, the family came to America in 1760, a grandfather of mine was born in 1805 in Bracken County, not far from where I will retire. After the Vietnam war I got a degree in engineering and have been an engineer for 37 years.

Some years ago I became a vegetarian and developed an interest in sustainable living, also I do not drink or do drugs. I am also a student of the Ringing Cedars movement from Siberia and of Yoga from India for fun I like to watch birds, go for walks, watch movies and play with my cat. I have a boat and plan to go boating on the Ohio river and on local creeks and lakes. I am also interested in prospecting with a metal detector for old coins and who knows what? I also enjoy Contra dancing and have taken many classes in the waltz, rumba, tango and foxtrot.
