I spend part of my year in North Carolina. I think I can be summarized as follows: personality - gentle, compassionate, caring; sense of humor - love to laugh and exchange humour; interests - a partner for this journey, world affairs, art, history, archeology, other cultures, flea markets, antiques, auctions, and I love shopping; I value honesty above all else and give and expect the same. I live in Canada but have lived in the Netherlands and do speak Dutch. I am retired and loving it! Education - 6 years University, History, Archeology & Library Science. My health is very good overall. Currently, my physical activity is mainly gardening. I love movies, including foreign films, theater, museums, travel, art, diverse music, dining including Dutch, Indonesian, Chinese, Thai et al, travel - love Western Europe, Politics - centrist without extremes, religion - open minded about other religions and cultures, sports - Ajax fan, my idea of fun - an intimate evening dinner with wine, candles, music, and that special someone, what is important to me - the present and the future, but what is not - the negative aspects of life. I have lived on farms, in large cities, small towns and in the countryside so I am comfortable wherever my hat hangs!

I am seeking a partner wife who is trustworthy, home oriented, intelligent, versatile in outlook, with a good education/world view (there are many forms of education), a NON-smoker, and who has diverse interests.
