I get interested in new things easily I guess. I enjoy cars, bicycling, target shooting, shopping for antiques, architecture, and travel. I like to go to nice restaurants, movies (generally comedies or action), and to travel to beautiful or historic places. Mostly I'm a car enthusiast, which means I like antique cars a lot. I enjoy driving along the coast or up through the countryside for an afternoon - stopping at interesting places. I like cars of all different styles for their design and I usually have an antique car or two. I also like to study architectural styles.
I like to travel to learn about places and understand what it must have been like to live in different places at different times in history. I've been to Europe several times and I think it's amazing to see how different things are. I've been to the U.K. Germany, Austria, and Bulgaria. There are a lot of places I would still like to travel to and I would like to find someone specail to travel with me and to share in these great memories of amazing places.
But really, a relationship is more than just a list of shared hobbies. It's about enjoying the time you spend with someone, because you won't always be doing fun things. A person has to be able to hold a conversation - to have a deeper thought once in a while than 'How's the weather?'
I have a Yorkshire Terrier named Rocky that I take just about everywhere. I love animals and this guy is my buddy. We go for walks everyday, regardless of the weather. He insists!
I moved to Florida from Ohio and I love it here and plan to stay. There's so much to do here and I'd like to find someone special to enjoy it with.
In relationships I believe it's important to remain equals. I think it's important because both parties need to respect each other in order to love each other. It's hard to find this balance because some people seek to dominate and others to subordinate themselves. When I'm with freinds we aren't trying to struggle for position - we're friends and equals and I think it should be the same in relationships.
I also think it's important for people to be able to understand why they feel the way they do, to be able to choose how you will react to events in life and the attitude you will face it with. It's important to put aside your feelings at times so you can make logical conclusions rather than trying to use logic to justify decisions you've already made.
I work to develop my character and inner strength. I've made my share of mistakes in life and I'm sure that I'm going to make more, but I learn from them. If all of this is appealing to you, please send me a message.
