Hello everybody.
I'm single. Never married. Don't have any children and at my age, don't want to start a family now.
I don't have many interests. Motorsport, classic cars, Land Rovers and getting them a bit muddy, photography, astronomy, music, watching movies and downloaded stuff. Mostly comedy or sci-fi. I buy books, but tend to go through periods when I don't read much. Having an Xbox doesn't help...
I have a kayak which I bought last year which I keep threatening to jump in (and hopefully not fall out of) and get fit again.
I like nature and the great out doors but rarely find myself out there in it.
I bought a big telescope a couple of years ago and would like to combine astronomy with photography and take some pictures of stars and the planets and maybe even the sun.
I recently changed jobs. A guy who I used to work with a couple of years ago go me in. He continually moans about the place yet I now find myself working alongside him in a 20 foot long shipping container outside of the main building, and thoroughly enjoying myself! We should be moving into a proper building with brick walls soon :)
I am not religious, but do wonder about 'something' possibly being out there.
I put that I'm looking for 'dating' because marriage included 'creating a family and having children', which is something I'm not looking for. I just want someone to grow old with and hopefully age gracefully with the odd bout of 'disgracefully' with :)
My ideal woman?
Ideally you like to get out and about and see nature in all it's glory now and then. A bit of hiking about on the hills, maybe a bit of kayaking. Nothing to fast moving. A nice slow river or down the canal. Have the odd weekend away and see a new place. Maybe go out for a bike ride.
Having a sense of humour is important. As is the ability to laugh at yourself now and then.
Nobody under 40 years old please. It will be interesting to learn from each other new things, but I wouldn't want to be having to explain who Elvis was to some twenty something girl young enough to be my niece. So mature ladies in their 40s please.
