e studied the trumpet with Charley Davis(he toured with Buddy Rich), James Linahon (previous musical ambassador on trumpet for China), Steve Crum (professional studio and touring trumpeter), Charles Brady (recorded for Stravinsky at the age of 18), Ron Stout (professional jazz trumpeter), Mark Schubert (Honolulu Symphony Orchestra), as well as some other fine trumpet players.
I started at 10 in grade school and they took me out of regular class to play into their trumpetless groups and was excused from homework rarely. In high school making honor bands like L.A. Junior Philharmonic, California Rose Parade, Symphonic, Jazz, and Marching as well as Solo Ensemble Small Group. Completing my college degree in trumpet performance/music composition worked on 2 cruise ships. Then I returned to Honolulu, HI to perform as a free lance trumpet player helping the hawaii jazz scene and more in mostly the small group jazz ensembles, among other commercial genres receiving multiple reviews and even the Hawaii masic awards
