I have led an active and adventurous existence. I like to taste all life has to offer and enjoy meeting people. I am a warm hearted and compassionate man, and although I live alone, I am not lonely however life is more enjoyable with someone to share special moments with personal time though is also important to me. I am a trustworthy, practical and down to earth individual who places ethics above materialism and greed.
Spiritual reading, walking my favourite beach, hobbies and frequent holidays help to keep me fit and stress-free. I'm interested in photography and art so I like to take in an exhibition or two when not hurtling down a mountain on skis or putting a hole-in-one - I wish! I am though, also pretty content to spend cosy evenings chilling out with some TV conditioning or catching up with friends and family. And I make a good cuppa tea which i enjoy with a good piece of Battenberg!
I love travelling and enjoy warm climates. I was raised and educated in England, Kenya, Singapore and Germany. Later in life I travelled extensively working and living in many countries and a few remote and distant places. I still enjoy some travelling as I do not need to work or be on anyone's treadmill .... Perhaps I am looking for an anchor?! I currently spend a lot of time in Kyrenia .. and take holiday breaks in Cornwall and Cheshire ..
My favourite authors are Eckhart Tolle, Neale Donald Walsch, Deepak Chopra, Richard Tomlinson, Stieg Larsson, John le Carre and Paul Ekman. I am fond of television drama series such as Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy, and Spooks and films such as Bourne, Bond ... and Serendipity, The Lake House, Notting Hill and Love Actually! I relish reading the Mercola and Information Clearing House and Avaaz.org and 38 Degrees web sites. I like listening to the music of Leonard Cohen, Celine Dion and Daniel Beddingfield, amongst many others.
