Hi everyone! My name is Laura. I am 30 years old. I live in New York in the states. I grew up in a little city called Peekskill. I have a large family including my mother Kathleen and my father David (recently deceased) as well my 4 brothers: Brian, Charlie, Mickey and Gus. They are very important to me and a big part of my life. I also have 2 nieces Lucia and Eleanor who I live to be a life long example as a leader and most loving Aunt. Growing up I learned about my Irish Culture and ancestors mostly spoken about by my father who was always proud to say that his grandfather Patty Egan was an immigrant from Ireland. He spoke of him so fondly that I feel I know him lol even though he died many many years before I was born. My father passed away 2 years ago. He was a huge part of my life and a very positive influence. He was a very kind, loving, passionate and hard working man. He loved the Yankees and more importantly he loved my mother with all his heart ❤️ He had a very old school mentality and I have adopted those values. My mother and father raised their family with love, grace and class. We seldom went to church due to my fathers fear of the Catholic Church being raised under it and felt we should have the freedom to choose what we wanted to believe. However, my mother has influenced and instilled the belief of God and for a time we would go to mass on Sundays. I am a very spiritual person. I believe in God with all my being. I have worked very hard on my spiritual path and my relationship with God. I do go to mass on Sundays but I don’t always make it because I’m not a morning person haha so sorry if you like to get up and go maybe I’m not the gal for you. I have studied many religions and believe they all have 1 thing in common and that is the message of love. I feel that love is the most important thing in the world. I do not believe money makes the world go around but rather love is the universal force that not only created us but what also drives in this life and world. I have had my fair share of struggles but I use them to learn and grow. I have traveled a bit. Last May I went to England, North Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. However, I would love to travel more because I love meeting people from all around the world, learning new languages, trying foods outside of my culture and listening to music I may have never heard. I’m a very creative person. I love to sing, write poetry, journal, dance, sometimes draw and I absolutely love and adore all types of music. From Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Loui Amstrong to the times of Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan to Michael Jackson and the list goes on. I was born in the early 90’s before cell phones existed and social media. I love the music from that era. During the time that I grew up there was a park across the street and kids on every block. We played from sun up to sun down. Sometimes we fought but always found a way to make a truce and be friends again. Many of them are still my very best friends to this very day. They are also very important to me. I am a very caring, compassionate, loving, cooky lol ? and passionate about life person. I’m looking for something serious that will lead to marriage and a family some day. There is a lot more too me than what I’ve written but I leave that to you to reach out and get to know me more. Love, peace and blessings to you all! I look forward to meeting you ❤️?
