Widower for past 4 years and am investigating the possibility of retiring to Chile in 2017. I have done much research on alternatives to the U. S. A. and have determined that Northern Chile, Iquique, is ideal. Compared to Nevada, USA as it has lower cost of living, ideal temperate climate year-round, a beautiful beach (Cavancha), very friendly people, about the same population as my home town here in Reno, Nevada, USA, better personal and economic freedoms than Nevada, and a constitutional republic form of government. I have planned a visit to Iquique the last week of October 2016. If it is all that my research has revealed to me, then I will plan a permanent move there as early as possible in 2017.
