I am an Englishman recently retired to a lovely little finca in Colombia. . I'm originally a country boy brought up on a smallholding in Suffolk/Norfolk, a mainly agricultural area of Eastern England but left home at 15 to make my own way in the world.

I moved to the Island of Tenerife (Spanish Canary Idlands) in 1987 for a different way of life having been in business in the UK and had the shock of losing two friends to heart attacks. I decided that life was for living and not just a practice. When I first came to Tenerife I had a climbing and walking centre based in the Southern mountains, I also owned a small vineyard that produced about 1,000 litres of wine a year. Having lived an 'alternative' lifestyle for 17 years I was persuaded back into business, providing the funds and business knowledge to a bright young techie (who later screwed me royally!) but I'm now retiring again.

I'm a widower, been married twice, my first marriage ended in divorce after seven years, she was only in love with herself and her beauty. I remarried and then after a few years my wife was taken very ill and I nursed her for several years till she went into a hospice, eventually she died and I've been on my own since then although I have had some girlfriends I haven't found the right one….. still looking and hoping.
