About myself

Educated (BFA, MBA), newly transplanted in Maine, ready to try something new while I figure out the next phase of my life. Had a 23 year career in Tech that ended in layoff toward the start of lockdown, took me another 15 months to pack up and sell the house in TX, then I made my way north to help care for my ailing mother 3 months later and she has passed on so I’m now free to chart my course anew. The plan is to buy a cottage near water somewhere in Maine so I can garden, paddle, walk/hike and maybe even ski, if the rebuilt knee lets me. Who knows? It’s a mystery :)

I love dining out, staying in to cuddle for movie night, dancing (oh, WHEN can I go dancing again?), crafting, MacGyvering, sitting around the firepit (just bought a Solo Ranger fire pit), drinking hazy IPAs and fabulous conversation. I also love getting silly, whether that’s Halloween-style shenanigans, or really any other time of year.

Looking for folks to hang with, casual dating, not really trying to find a mate though not categorically against it either). Certainly not looking to become anyone’s hausfrau. Life’s too short, especially on thousands end of it!
