I'm a people person I am a passionate advocate for social issues. I'm orderly (maybe a bit perfectionist) and efficient. I've spent a few years on my own, so cooking, cleaning, home repair, laundry and the like are familiar.
I'm a retired civil servant and educator. I spent decades in Western Canada, but I'm now in Eastern Canada to foster family relationships (kids and grandkids). I have three adult kids from my first relationship.
I love to read (especially historical non-fiction and biographies but a good fiction too). I have traveled a fair bit - across Canada, of course and up to Alaska, Europe and England, Greece, Africa and South & Central America and Mexico. To amuse myself I sing in a choir, write, and teach French as a volunteer instructor. I have a good sense of humour, I'm a fair cook, a good storyteller, an occasional busker and amateur actor.
I'm looking to see if there's a lady out there who's interested in friendship first. After that, que sera, sera! :-)
