My friends and staff describe me as a workaholic - so who am I to argue with them! I am a management consultant who works in Asia, Middle East and Africa working out of a Makati office. I have lived in the Phili[ppines for 3 years and worked in the Philippines for 12 years. I used to to be a military pilot in the RAF and was - then - fit. Now, not so fit, but still good enough. I run around Salcedo Park and do weight training in my apartment. No time for the gym. I shop in Greenbelt, Glorietta and Landmark. I use Rustans and Landmark supermarkets and cook for myself. I really don't like to eat takeaways, but sometimes Greenwich and Chow King get my custom. I read, mainly work text books, and I go to the cinema to see the better films. I love ice cream, but I restrict myself. I do my own washing and cleaning in my apartment, but I have discovered that having my shirts washed and ironed by the laundry in C Palanca Street is a lot easier. Yes I drink beer, but not much and I love good red wine from Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. I'm afraid most of the affordable French wine that we can get in Makati is not drinkable and only fit to cook with. That's me.
