Hi out there!
What to say about me? Well, I am a 52 year old male who has been on his own for about 4 years and so is now ready to begin a new life with a special friend and companion I truly miss married life, in the sense that I know someone has my back, as I have theirs. Indoor activities, whether they be washing and drying dishes or watching movies, playing board games and euchre, are a whole lot more fun when you're sharing with someone who you truly love to be with. Going out to dance or just cuddling on the couch sounds good too. Life is too short to go on with life without your true love beside you every step of the way. My goal is to one day meet a lady who would feel the same way about life.
For the most part, I prefer the outdoors except for those extremely cold blustery days. In the winter I like to skate on my backyard or the Rideau Canal. I like to snowshoe and to go for walks, as well. Someday I would even like to give cross-country skiing a try. I've recently added jogging to my repetoire where I get out for a 5½ km jog 3 to 4 times per week.
In the summer I like to get my bicycle out for some countryside touring. I started playing golf with some friends from work a couple of years agao and last year I hosted my first golf tournament. There's a 9 hole course conveniently located on the campground where I live..how great is that?
I own a tent trailer and so I enjoy doing some camping at/with friends to just get way from the hustle-bustle. Every summer I try to get out to at least a couple of the outdoor country music festivals where I bring my guitar to join in on the occasional campfire sing-a-long. I get great solitude out of simply strumming out some tunes even in my own quiet space too.
I like pretty well all kinds of music, though as I get older I lean more towards country music, kind of a mix between the old and the new. However, I'm open to really all and can be often heard humming or singing along to just about anything as I'm always working on new idea's for songs of my own.
I work hard at whatever I have to do and like to maintain what I own. I've recently renovated my mobile home and I'm plugging away now at some more landscaping right now though I do like to get out and have some fun too.
Oh yes, on one of my profile pictures it shows me wearing a Edmonton Oilers hockey sweater however I'm a true blue, red-blooded Toronto Maple Leaf fan. One lady I corresponded with asked why a Toronto fan would be wearing an Edmonton jersey? My reason, the Edmonton jersey belonged to my late brother whom I lost more than 28 years ago. The sweater is only one of a few things that had belonged to my brother so needless to say it is very special to me. As for the Leafs, maybe this will be their year, eh? If you don't have hope, what do you have..lol
Though my location says Ottawa and I work in Ottawa, I'm about a 45 minute drive south of the city.
